Competition
International competitions are opportunities where all of us can compare our own skills with those of our colleagues. The experience they provide is invaluable as it is an essential element in stimulating our own development. Yamaha has never wavered in its support for this kind of event and has quite consciously and openly supported many occasions in order to optimise our own understanding of the essential demands required of the products at this level. By listening to opinions and increasing its dialogue with musicians, contestants, jury members and teachers, Yamaha has ensured that today’s instruments are able to support the performers’ competitiveness even more than before.
Today Yamaha is to be found on the stages of the world’s major concert halls, and is almost always present when young pianists compete with one another at the international level. The experience gained at these competitions truly contributes towards improving and refining instruments and talent even further.
Some of the major international competitions at which Yamaha grand pianos are featured:
- Hamamatsu International Piano Competition
- International Frédérick Chopin Competition, Warsaw
- International Tchaikovsky Competition, Moscow
